«ISTO» * «THIS»

«They say I pretend or lie in all my writings. Not at all. It simply is that I feel by imagining. I don't use the heart-string. All that I dream or lose, that falls short or dies on me, is like a terrace on another thing beyond. That is the beautiful thing. And so I write in the middle of things not nearby, free from my own muddle, realizing what is not. To feel? Let the reader feel!»
«This», by Fernando Pessoa. Translation by Sailor Girl. Amendment suggestions kindly accepted...

«Dizem que finjo ou minto tudo que escrevo. Não. Eu simplesmente sinto com a imaginação. Não uso o coração. Tudo o que sonho ou passo, o que me falha ou finda, é como que um terraço sobre outra coisa ainda. Essa coisa é que é linda. Por isso escrevo em meio do que não está ao pé, livre do meu enleio, sério do que não é. Sentir? Sinta quem lê!»

[Vista Alegre] is a Portuguese porcelain manufacturer located in Ílhavo in the district of Aveiro. By May 2001, the Group Vista Alegre joined with the Atlantis group and created the largest nacional tableware Group and the sixth in the world in this specialty: the Grupo Vista Alegre Atlantis. Fábrica de Porcelana Vista Alegre, with its historical background and tradition is the most representative industrial unit of the eleven ones of the Group, producing around 10 million pieces a year, in decorative and domestic porcelain. In 2002 it finished an industrial reengineering process to increase both its capacity and production volume. An integration project was also under way for the two porcelain production centres of the Group. (addapted from Wikipedia).

Lisbon Shopping Windows (1)

I took this picture also last Saturday, at Chiado (Lisbon). It's a beautiful sculpture of an also beautiful woman on a bathing suit. The window of the art shop where she stands is enormous and enables us to admire her and eventually buy it. I took another set of pictures of the window, but unfortunatelly they were not presentable... as I had to run away from the march that was passing by... I also took photos of other exquisite shopping windows, that I will post other day.
