Encontram neste mapa, sublinhadas a azul, as zonas ribeirinhas de onde melhor poderão ver passar a Regata Atlântico Azul, caso não embarquem ou não decidam ir de helicóptero ou a nado (é uma opção). Assim, na margem a Norte do Tejo, temos a zona ribeirinha de Lisboa, desde o Parque das Nações até Alcântara-Mar. Na margem a Sul do Tejo, temos as Zonas Ribeirinhas do Montijo e de Almada (Ginjal). Se for a esta última, pode apanhar um cacilheiro e cruzar-se com as embarcações. Pode inclusivamente atirar-se ao Tejo, se decidir ir tomar o pequeno-almoço ao «Ponto Final» ou ao «Atira-te ao Rio», estabelecimentos carregados de histórias de antigos marinheiros de barba rija e com uma das melhores vistas para Lisboa e para o Tejo. Se for à do Montijo, verá a emocionante chegada das embarcações em Regata, sempre recheada de episódios de mar!... O importante é ir e ver o espectáculo que é a Regata da Amizade!!!...

Por ser um dos temas em acompanhamento, sempre que possível permanente, por este blogue, reproduzo, em comentário a este post, o teor do pedido de Apreciação Parlamentar n.º 94 /X/4, que deu entrada ontem no Parlamento, referente ao Decreto-Lei n.º 188/2008, de 23 de Setembro («Altera as bases da concessão do direito de exploração, em regime de serviço público, do terminal de contentores nas instalações portuárias de Alcântara Sul, aprovadas pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 287/84, de 23 de Agosto»). Fotografia que tirei no passado Domingo, para mais tarde recordarmos, caso avancem com o projecto de desactivação do Cais da Rocha e do Cais de Alcântara... Pormenor da bonita chaminé do «Carnival Splendor» e da Ponte sobre o Tejo. Nesse dia desembarcaram 3270 passageiros, além da tripulação do navio. Enfim, mas alguém saberá o que anda a fazer...

On a different perspective...

I love containers and container ships since I was a child! I love their colours, I love to imagine what kind of goods they are carrying, how many toys they hide and who will receive them and where, what kind of clothes and bags and shoes are stored in such beautiful boxes!... Today's first music at Radio Atlântico Azul is called «Contentores» («Containers»), by the Portuguese band «Xutos & Pontapés» («Kicks & Kicks») and was played on a concert in 1989. I was there!!!...

The Port of Lisbon comprises various specialised terminals in the handling of all type of cargo, placing it in a privileged competitive position. Lisbon assumes the role of fundamental link between the Mediterranean and the North of Europe, but also as a revolving board of international commerce between Europe, Africa, America and the Far East. Throughout the years, the Port of Lisbon has registered a noteworthy growth in all business areas. It is national leader in the containerised and agri-bulk cargo segments. The Port of Lisbon is an important multimodal logistics platform integrated in the Trans-European transport network and thus assures the quick flow of all types of merchandise.

Dock of the "Spaniard" (Lisbon)

The «Dock of the Spaniard» is one of Alcântara's docks, side by side to one of the Cruise Terminals. Its name has a story behind it that I can't recall so I ask my friends who told me to leave a comment with an explanation. This Lisbon parish is quite central and some of its areas are being taken over by loft developments and new apartments that can profit from its excellent river views and central location.
