Por ocasião da cerimónia de canonização de D. Nuno Álvares Pereira (São Nuno de Santa Maria) que se realiza no Vaticano no próximo dia 26 de Abril, a Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal organizou uma fabulosa mostra biblio-iconográfica que todos poderemos ver já a partir de amanhã, da parte da tarde, no Campo Grande, n.º 83, em Lisboa. Nos restantes dias e até 13 de Maio, pode ser vista das 10h00 às 19h00 e, aos Sábados, das 10h00 às 17h00 (encerra aos Domingos e Feriados). Mais informações AQUI.

On February 21, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI anounced the Canonization of Saint Friar Nuno de Santa Maria Álvares Pereira for his heroic virtues and the authenticity of a miracle that had already been previously confirmed as such by medical and theological Commissions. The public celebration of his Canonization will happen on April 26, 2009.

Lord God, you called Blessed Nuno Álvares Pereira to put aside his sword and follow Christ under the Patronage of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Through his prayers may we too deny ourselves, and devote ourselves to you with all our hearts. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.
