When the going gets tough...

... the tough get going and sometimes even rough. Well, enough is enough, and we've had enough of noise on the streets and on the tv screens. Will someone tell these folks to give us a break? Or to go knock at other doors? Thank you!...

A Paradox - Human Stupidity - Selfishness. I find a paradox that those pretending to defend workers rights, actually do the opposite. By protecting each and every aspect of ones job security and benefits they harm those looking for a job and also the job market itself. It does not come to me naturally that one can go out shouting and striking for benefits and salary increases. (If after presenting such claims to ones employer we don't get what we believe we're entitled to, I think that one should move to the supposedly better paying job, or conform and shut up.) In Germany and elsewhere workers are accepting cuts in work-hours and salaries to avoid lay offs of fellow workers. What a contrast with stubborn union old-fashioned protesters. So much for solidarity from those that call themselves guardians of socialism. They look to justify a life devoted to street actions and striking in pursuit of their agenda against society's general good. What a show of conservatism from those claiming not to be. What a foolish thing not being able to accept that they are not anymore in the "job for life" world that used to grant salary increases equal to all, irrespective of ones performance or real contribution to society. You do have guts Sailor Girl in posting this photo (Norton Hans Christian)
