SKY WATCH FRIDAY # 20
Photo by Sailor Girl of MAXIM GORKIY's funnel and lifeboat. WHY DID THIS BEAUTIFUL SHIP HAVE TO DIE??... A contribution to Sky Watch Friday.
Atlantic Blue. A blog with the scent of the sea breeze and the freshness of the Atlantic Ocean. A place where Dreams are linked to reality, where Happiness is formed like the waves on the Sea, according to the tides and the Moon...

A boat and a helipad on another boat? I'm just guessing, but whatever it is, it's interesting and so colorful! Happy Sky Watching!
This is an interesting shot. I love the lighting on it. I'm wondering if the sun was about to go down...Great choice for SWF! Hi from Cal.
So this great ship couldn't be saved? Is it already gone? I felt so sad reading your postings. a beautiful ship towering in a blue sky. MB
Thanks a lot, guys, you are great with your comments and make my day...
MB: No.. in spite of all efforts... Now, to be saved, we would need lots of cash, which unfortunatelly I don't have. Governments have, though. But they don't care for the People, let alone Ships...
A well-know guest around here. That funnel is very characteristic!
PS Thank you for the pleasant comment.

Caro Amigo,
Interesting photo! I'm so sorry to hear about the ship's death. Good to have captured it on film.
Our modern 'throw away' society ha lost all sense of perspective. Another sad inditement!
Lovely photo but sad, sad tale.
