NOTHING BUT SEA AND SKY

(Photo by Sailor Girl, of the same Lighthouse of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost place in Europe, as seen from Guincho, Cascais, near Lisbon)
I stand as on some mighty eagle’s beak,
Eastward the sea absorbing, viewing
Nothing but sea and sky,
The tossing waves, the foam,
The ships in the distance,
The wild unrest, the snowy, curling caps
That inbound urge and urge of waves,
Seeking the shores forever.

That is so beautiful, thank you! I love the contrast of the detail shot yesterday of the lighthouse an the wide view today. Thanks!

Also, I fixed your typo on my blog. :)

Oh, your photo makes me so summer-sick!

Water is such a big draw for humans; must be atavistic. Poem is a good choice for the photo. Have a good Friday and week-end, too.
