Morning prayers

(All Photos by Sailor Girl)
On my painful daily trip to work, I stroll through this beautiful garden at Cascais (one of Lisbon's municipalities, as previously mentioned), called «Jardim Visconde da Luz». And each time I pass by, I say a little prayer to this beautiful Madonna, who looks so sad (and maybe ashamed of all the bad things happening to the World) that She is always looking down...

(I love the morning sunlight on the beautiful flowers there)

Every year, on 9th November, a memorial cerimony to the portuguese soldiers who fought on the I World War takes place right here at this garden. Organised by the Former Soldiers League, many people place flowers next to the Madonna.

Beautiful little park that you have to stroll through on your way to work. I should be so lucky. I have to take a subway car and be crammed in like a sardine most days.

Thank you, Frank!

And thank you, Clueless! However, my daily trip from Cascais to Lisbon takes an hour and a half... that's why it's painful... Specially when I have to leave such beautiful environments behind... (namely the beach) hehehe!!!
