ABC WEDNESDAY - # 19 (R)

«R» is for a «Royal Yachts». Today's photo depicts «NORGE», the Norwegian beautiful Royal Yacht, at Cascais, on May 26th, 2008. The ship is owned by His Majesty The King, and is manned and maintained by the Royal Norwegian Navy. Another exquisite AND nautical contribution to ABC Wednesday!...

It is a beautiful ship, isn't it? Formerly British, as you probably know.

That does look magnificent.

Lovely ROYAL ABC photo! I like your ocean snaps. Thanks for your comments on my blog. I'm just starting my ABC Wednesdays on my EAGAN daily photo. As a "newbee", I'm off sync with the rest of you!

Truly a magnificent vessel; she has aged well, with a few facelifts - built in 1937 according to Wikipedia.

Great one for today's letter! I love the contrast of the white of the boat against the sea and sky.

It's beautiful. I have actually seen it too. Many years ago.

A beautiful ship! Only a king could afford one this large, I would think. All your photos are gorgeous, not only of the ships, but the landmarks behind them.

Grandes registos da procissão fluvial sem dúvida.
Quanto ao iate real fiz tudo para o ver, mas não consegui, é daqueles que nem queremos falar nisso, pois oportunidades destas não se devem perder...

That's a lovely sight, and a fine photo. I'm sorry I'm so late visiting.
Thanks for your fun comment on mine. Our river is mostly small and narrow, but widens often into small lakes - swimming is possible in those.

On behalf of the Team, thanks!
