Ahhhh... You must watch the videos that NATO has enabled at their site. This image concerning «SANTA MARIA» with one of the members of the Portuguese White Fleet («CREOULA» perhaps?...) was taken from the third group of videos, entitled “The Atlantic Community,” which contains national documentaries of NATO’s early members (Portugal, in this specific image). «Commissioned not long after NATO’s founding, the film series presented explores the history, politics, and culture of the Alliance’s early members, including Germany. The result is a charming portrayal of Western life in the 1950s».

Informação gentilmente remetida pela «Marinha do Tejo», a quem muito agradeço, comovida pelas belíssimas imagens das nossas antigas frotas bacalhoeiras, da marinha mercante e de guerra e, obviamente, pelas embarcações típicas do Douro, Nazaré, Aveiro e... do Tejo!...
