THAT'S MY WORLD TUESDAY # 30

Photo by Sailor Girl of Our World as seen from the monument to the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos, in Belém, Lisbon). It features a mosaic decoration (a gift from South Africa in 1960) showing a world map with the routes of various Portuguese explorers inside a wind rose. A contribution to THAT'S MY WORLD TUESDAY.

Linda representação deste nosso Mundo português: parece uma bandeira de mármore a flutuar no solo de Belém. Podia ser o próprio Atlântico Azul a mostrar os seus segredos de tantos mares...

Absolutely marvelous!
You Portuguese really got around.
Wait till I show this to my daughter and grandkids! (We are a map and chart family.)
